Women's Field Lacrosse operate under rules designed to maximize player safety.

Strict rules govern the shape and design of the sticks and pockets used.

The OWFL recognize the rules of the CLA and FIL. Sticks approved for use in OWFL play are listed on the document from the F.I.L. website.

If the stick is not on the list it is not permitted for use in OWFL play.

Please note different regulations govern play in the US, and as such a stick approved for play in the US may not be permitted in OWFL.

All players have their sticks checked prior to each game by the officials for compliance with F.I.L. rules, and re-checked after each goal they score.
