Bookkeeper
Do you love numbers almost as much as a great lacrosse game? Are you the kind of person who finds satisfaction in balanced books and organized spreadsheets? If so, Mimico Lacrosse might have the perfect volunteer opportunity for you!
We’re looking for a Bookkeeper to join our team and help keep our finances running as smoothly as a well-executed fast break.
What You’ll Be Doing
Working closely with our Treasurer, you’ll help make sure everything behind the scenes stays organized and on track. Responsibilities include:
Working alongside our Treasurer to ensure the association’s books stay balanced and accurate
Paying out expenses that have been handled on behalf of the association
Recording daily financial transactions and maintaining accurate records
Reconciling bank statements
Managing accounts payable and receivable
Processing payroll
Preparing financial reports such as balance sheets and income statements
What We’re Looking For
Someone organized, reliable, and comfortable working with numbers
QuickBooks Online Proficiency
Experience with bookkeeping or accounting is a big plus
A team player who enjoys contributing to a community organization
Bonus points if you love lacrosse (but not required!)
