Local League
Local League is about playing lacrosse right here in your community.
Our local leagues are a great place for players interested in lacrosse to learn, hone and develop their skills. Local league teams are carefully constructed and rebalanced if required to ensure the most even competition possible.
Most important, local lacrosse is a fantastic way for everyone to get – and stay – involved in our lacrosse community as players and parents alike are guaranteed to make new friends that often last a lifetime.
Mimico Lacrosse has two local leagues: The Mimico Box Lacrosse League (MBLL) and Mimico Women’s Field Lacrosse League (MWFL).
-
No. There is no residency requirement for local league. Players participating in local league lacrosse exclusively are able to register with any centre of their choice, regardless of where they live. No release required.
*Players looking to register for a Rep program must register with their home centre. Mimico’s defined residential boundary is the old City of Etobicoke. Players living outside this boundary must check with the registrar to determine if Mimico is their home club.

We try our best to accommodate ‘friend requests’ to facilitate families assisting one another with transportation, however we may be unable to fulfill every request, as we also strive to create balanced and fair teams for play. Sibling requests will always be accepted if they meet the age criteria.
